Choosing Your Wedding Dress(!)
Let’s be honest: one of the best parts of getting married is getting to wear a wedding dress. Yes, it can be overwhelming, considering there are so many options out there. We suggest flipping through some bridal magazines and looking online at various designs so that when you do the actual shopping, you have an idea in your head of what you want. Here are some popular silhouettes that you should know about:
A Line: Tight at the top, these dresses flow from the waist down, resembling the shape of the letter ‘A.’ A popular choice since this style fits and flatters every body type.
Mermaid: A style you would recognize on the red carpet, this dress hugs the body down to the knee, then flares out. Works best on those with an hourglass figure.
Ball Gown: Similar to an A-line style, but has a larger, more exaggerated skirt. Avoid this style if you have a petite frame, as you will drown in this style.
Sheath: This dress fits closely to the body, from the top to the bottom. The skirt doesn’t flair out, and is very column-like. This looks amazing on women with a more boyish-figure, or taller females.
Happy Planning!
